A quartet of Bison earn Summit League Softball honors

On Tuesday the Summit League office announced four student-athletes from North Dakota State’s softball team have earned All-Summit League honors.

Anjolee Aguilar-Beaucage and Emilee Buringa landed on the All-Summit League Second Team while Kaitlyn Dunford and Reanna Rudd earned All-Summit League Honorable Mention honors.

Aguilar-Beaucage recorded a .275 batting average and .362 on-base percentage in Summit League play. On the season she hit seven home runs with 16 RBI and 29 runs scored with eight stolen bases. Additionally, she had an 11-game hitting streak during conference play.

Buringa had a team-high .313 batting average in league play that included a .389 on-base percentage. She hit two home runs with 26 runs scored while also recording four assists, the most of any outfielder in Summit League play.

Dunford recorded a 2-2 record in league play with a 1.42 ERA. She pitched 29 ⅔ innings while only giving up six runs. On the season she recorded a 6-5 record in 21 appearances.

Rudd hit for a .265 batting average with a .366 on-base percentage in Summit League play. On the season she recorded 21 RBI and scored 16 runs.

The Bison will return to the field on Wednesday, May 7 for the opening round of the Summit League Championship against Kansas City. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Brookings, S.D.
