LRC SUMMER OUTLOOK

Summer is almost upon us and many of us would like a nice warm summer to enjoy outdoor activities without seeing too much rain to spoil outdoor activities but enough rain for our AG community.   Diving into the summer using the LRC model it looks like  ABOVE NORMAL temps for much of the upper midwest and central plains.  Precip wise if you notice the blue precip graph there are a few noticable spikes in precip (Ave. above 100%) one of those in June....another one around the 3rd week in July, the 1st and 3rd week in August and again the 3rd week in September.

Now keep in mind, this is for the Northern AND Central Plains on average.  But overall, it looks like a summer that we see near to above normal temps and  near to above normal precip.  In the Western Dakotas though it does look like slightly below normal rainfall with around 75 to 80% of normal.

If you would like a more detailed forecast for your specific region, Weather20/20 and  the LRC is running a summer special so you can receive more specific information.  Feel free to reach out to me if you need any more details about your specific area  weatheratflagfamily [dot] com
